College Philosophy
Charley's Place believes that the early years of a child's life are the most influential and through our nurturing, caring, enthusiastic enriching and collaborative environment, your child will meet their full potential
We believe that early childhood education and care is the foundation for lifelong learning. We aim to provide high-quality, stimulating and engaging programs which stem from children’s individual interests, needs and strengths.
All families, regardless of their structure, background, religion, culture or abilities feel welcomed, respected and valued as we understand that families are children’s first and most influential teacher.
We believe families provide us with valuable knowledge about their children. Our educators understand the importance of collaborative partnerships and providing a sense of belonging to all families. Charley's Place has an 'Open Doors Policy' that welcomes families at any time of the day to participate as they feel comfortable. We believe this inclusive practice promotes a sense of comfort and allows them to see what occurs throughout the day, first-hand.
It is important for educators to continually build their professional knowledge by engaging in ongoing professional development, furthering their education, attending monthly training sessions, subscribing to industry newsletters and engaging in reflective practice.
Our centres' philosophy will be constantly reviewed in collaboration with families, children and community to keep pace with emerging trends in early childhood education and care. It reflects the Early Years Learning Framework and aims to allow all children to experience learning that is engaging and builds success for life.
