Under the sea

Kindy ages 3-5

Under the sea is our Kindy room. Our bachelor qualified Kindy Teacher Essie is well experienced and delivers an advanced program that inspires and excites the children about their world, their own capabilities and growing with those around them.

We are a recognised, Queensland Government Funded Kindy. With age appropriate resources for the children to engage with including, natural resources, imagination play, specific play, role play, reading, science projects, natural environment programs, sustainability. We have STEM education programs to include ‘Bee- Bots’ coding, touch screen TVs and Ipads to engage learning programs and to drive the bee-bots! Our outdoor equipment enables challenging and developmental learning with programs that challenge, inspire and build confidence. Children learn to care for themselves and others around them whilst being mindful in the care of the environment and animals.

In the Jungle

Junior Kindy, ages 3-5

In the Jungle is our Junior Kindy room. Miss Steph is our room leader who is well trained and experienced to assist in the preparedness for Kindy and school. With self-help skills being continually developed from the younger aged rooms the children become excited and keen learners about their world. The children are able to tune their independence with age appropriate indoor and outdoor activities.

As children discover about their world Miss Steph and the team are able to turn any question into a learning experience that inspires them to grow and develop their mind and physical abilities and boundaries. The indoor and outdoor experience really comes alive as the children become excited about their world.

On the Farm

Ages 2-3

Educators in “On the Farm” encourage the children to learn through play-based activities which are aligned to their individual interests. They promote independence and self-help skills through tasks such as self-serving at meal times and helping make their beds. The children are engaged in a very active, fun and flexible program which flows freely between the indoor and outdoor environments. This room is suited for two and three year olds and the educators are Miss Coby & Miss Dani.

In the Outback

Ages 2-3

The busy life of a toddler sees your child becoming more independent and increasingly interested in the world around them. In the Outback children will be encouraged to dress themselves, use the toilet, wash their own hands etc. The toddler years are when children are starting to learn a lot of new skills, not only are they able to walk but are now running, jumping, throwing balls and more, which will be practiced in the outdoor environment.

While in the Outback your child will enjoy playing with blocks and will begin to build towers. Toddlers will also show an interest in stories, naming objects, and language will really advance.

The Educators in the room program for each child individually, they do this by observing each child, identifying their interests, actions and abilities. The Educators in the Outback are Miss Nicole and Miss Aisha.

By the Billabong

Ages 1-2

Our “By the Billabong” room caters for children aged 6 weeks to 2 years of age. This room provides a warm and nurturing environment with a focus on building secure attachments between children and educators through a fun and engaging program. The educators in this room build on children’s prior skills to foster age appropriate developmental milestones, preparing them for transition to the next age group.

Children’s self-help skills continue to be encouraged in this room as educators provide increasing opportunities to solve problems and through experiences such as self-feeding when applicable. The room educators are Miss Tamara, Miss Nicole & Miss Mickayla.

Under the Stars

Ages 0-2

Our “Under the Stars” room caters for children aged 6 weeks to 2 years of age. This room has a shoes off policy to protect crawls from any germs that could be walked through the room. This room provides a warm and nurturing environment with a focus on building secure attachments between children and educators.

The educators observe children’s current interests and abilities to further support children with achieving age appropriate developmental milestones. Educators encourage children to build help-self skills by allowing them opportunity to solve problems and through experiences such as self-feeding when applicable. The room educators are Miss Nik, Miss Asti & Miss Naomi.
